Space marketing. - A phrase that we coined over 20 years ago. We define space marketing as strategic marketing in combination with in-depth knowledge of the space industry and experience in dealing with space agencies. We develop brand and product campaigns, Events, PR strategies and real estate concepts.

No other specialist agency in Europe has developed more space projects than EQUIPE - or has more relevant expertise. The basis for this is our experience of and enthusiasm for the growth market of space flight, an excellent network of space agencies and the aerospace industry as well as the latest information.

International Space Film Festival Berlin

Since 2011 we present the world’s one and only space film festival. First in Frankfurt, then in Berlin. It differs from the typical science fiction film festivals in that only realistic films and documentaries with a relation to space flight are shown. In addition, there are subsequent discussions of the films with astronauts, scientists and directors. This interdisciplinary blend is unique of its kind and also offers the audience the opportunity to ask questions.

Space Technology  Platforms

We are shifting space flight from niche expertise to the centre ground: for example, in 2008 and 2009 we joined with the European Space Agency ESA at the Hanover fair to develop Technology Transfer, the world’s largest platform for the transfer of technology between the space and non-space industries.

We were visited not only by thousands of space enthusiasts, but also numerous businesspeople and representatives from the world of politics and trade associations. For example, the former Prime Minister Christian Wulff, the former Federal Minister of Economics Philipp Rösler, Astronaut Ernst Messerschmidt and many others.

Astronauts and Cosmonauts

“Nothing interests people as much as people.” This old saying also applies to space flight. The people in space typically fascinate more than the technology behind them being there. It is the key to understanding and only with the reports of these individuals is it possible to access the experience of boundless space travel.

Astronauts and cosmonauts are therefore the real stars for us. Since 2001 we have consequently successively expanded our international network of astronauts and cosmonauts, with some contacts even evolving into friendships. We can provide you with suitable space travellers or moonwalkers for your campaign.

Visitors Space Center 

We developed concepts for space edutainment centers in Dortmund and Frankfurt on the Main in collaboration with renowned project developers. Prior to this, we had a look at and analyzed – as the only specialized agency to do so – all of Europe's space visitor centers. And indeed, the differences we observed are vast. We have the savvy to transform a space visitor center into an exciting edutainment center. And we know which strong partners to involve. Establish a visitor magnet for your city – and a location factor for your region. 

The PHOENIX Space Hotel

In 2010 we developed the concept for a space-themed hotel, thus far the only one of its kind. The basis for this is the notion that visitors can be given the illusion of actually boarding a space ship, rotating in the earth’s orbit as a hotel.

On entering the hotel foyer guests are already reminded of the ambience of a mission control centre. Whilst the hotel lobby acts as ground station, guests pass through a portal to compact shuttles, which transport them to the PHOENIX SPACE HOTEL in 30 seconds. This is achieved via a special lift that brings the guests to the upper floors - accompanied by corresponding shaking effects. Once arrived, the total of four floors each contain up to 16 hotel capsules, which are based on the dimensions of modern space capsules. A realistic “space travel” feeling is achieved when traversing the connecting tubes and accessing the hotel rooms via a round portal. From the inside, guests can enjoy a fascinating view of space from the central porthole. - A perfect illusion for guests of all ages, with the exception of weightlessness, which we are naturally unable to recreate...

The PHOENIX SPACE HOTEL was designed in a way that enabled it to be comprised wholly of modules, which could theoretically already be transported into orbit. The concept was created together with space flight engineers and hoteliers and is ideally suited for locations with a space travel link. The search is still underway for a hotel operator for this concept, which is unique of its kind worldwide.

Space Exhibitions

You want to present an unique Space Exhibition? Only we have access to rare collections and exhibits, which are typically not accessible to the public. We have direct access to a large trove of used equipment, astronaut clothing and models. We mobilise rare space memorabilia and bring it together for a memorable exhibition.

Autonomous Transportation Systems

The importance of autonomous transportation systems is on the rise, both in the air and on the ground – manned or unmanned. It is the technologies spawned by satellite navigation, electronics and materials science that make such autonomous systems possible today. There are plenty of companies and engineers, but the inhibiting factor is finding someone who can forge the all-important links with cities and local policy makers. We are trailblazers and idea developers when it comes to the intelligent integration of such new transport systems into municipalities and districts. 

Space Apparel

In 2012 and 2013, we developed a holistic concept for the clothing of the ESA astronaut team together with the Norwegian clothing manufacturer Helly Hansen. Astronauts need about 7(!) different types of clothing, from the dress code at press conferences to the exit into space. Never before had a space agency planned a holistic corporate design for this. For this purpose, EQUIPE IN SPACE developed an integral clothing needs analysis for the first time. With Helly Hansen, we then acquired a renowned clothing specialist who was prepared to develop a holistic solution approach. For the first time, a modular system was to be designed and developed to meet all requirements and then be modularly retrievable by all astronauts. Prior to this, important needs analyses were developed in workshops, including with astronauts Frank De Winne and Timothy Peake.  EQUIPE also developed various space apparel for promotional and marketing purposes.
